Antlers
Child Safety Policy

At Antlers App, the safety and well-being of minors is our highest priority. Our Child Safety Policy is designed to protect children and young people under the age of 18 from sexual and physical abuse, as well as any psychological harm that may arise from the sharing or exposure to harmful content. The terms "children" and "minors" are used interchangeably in this Policy to refer to any person under the age of 18.

Our Commitment
We actively work to safeguard minors by strictly prohibiting any content that exploits or harms them physically, sexually, or psychologically. We recognise that even content shared with intentions of raising awareness or seeking justice can retraumatise victims or inadvertently normalise abuse, and therefore, such content may be removed regardless of the sharer's intent. Antlers encourages users to engage openly in raising awareness about child exploitation and related issues.

Prohibited Content

  • Child Sexual Exploitation: Antlers maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any material that depicts, promotes, or glorifies the sexual exploitation of minors. This includes all formats, real photographs or videos, textual descriptions, illustrations, and artificial intelligence-generated content. Engaging with or distributing such content is harmful and, in most cases, unlawful.
  • Physical Abuse of Minors: Media depicting physical abuse of children will generally be removed to prevent revictimisation and the normalisation of violence. Decisions on removal consider factors such as the severity of harm, context of sharing, and the child's state of dress.
  • Minors in Physical Conflicts: We seek to balance minors' protection with awareness-raising. Content involving minors in physical altercations is reviewed considering the context, reports from affected minors or representatives, and the graphic nature of the material.

Legal and Ethical Considerations
Users must refrain from engaging with prohibited content, liking, sharing, commenting, or interacting, as such actions contribute to further harm and may contravene criminal laws. Antlers reserves the right to remove such content immediately and cooperate fully with legal authorities.

User Reporting
Users are encouraged to report violations of this Policy through our in-app reporting system or via our Help Center. Reports can be made without requiring an Antlers account. If a child is at immediate risk of harm or death, users are urged to contact local law enforcement promptly.

For violations involving Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, and Child Sexual Abuse Material, reports can also be made to the CEOP, calling 101 or the UK Police through https://www.police.uk/pu/contact-us/

Appeals
We acknowledge the possibility of error and provide a transparent appeals process for users who believe content has been incorrectly removed or restricted under this Policy.
